Hawke’s Bay Icon Trinity Hill partners with Nimbility to build presence and visibility across APAC

Iconic Hawke’s Bay winery Trinity Hill has partnered with Nimbility to build their presence, visibility and reputation across APAC markets. Nimbility will firstly work to develop and build on the strong network of importers and distribution partners that Trinity Hill already has established in the region, helping to further develop the network of downstream trade customers with a strong focus on the on-trade sector for building reputation and visibility of the brand. They will help import partners to develop clear brand building strategies and assist in the implementation of these across key markets. Initial areas of focus will be Greater China, South Korea, Singapore, India and Malaysia.

Widely regarded as one of New Zealand’s most iconic wineries, Trinity Hill celebrates over 25 years of world-class winemaking in the famed Gimblett Gravels District of Hawke’s Bay. The story began as an homage to the wines of the Northern Rhone, when cuttings of Syrah from Hermitage, and Viognier from Cote Rotie, were  gifted to their founding winemakers.

“We are extremely happy to be starting this new partnship with Nimbility to build our presence and visibility across APAC” says Rebecca Poynter, CEO of Trinity Hill. “We kick started proceedings a couple of weeks ago at Vinexpo in Singapore and I was immediately impressed by the quality, professionalism and service excellence that the Nimbility team brings to the table. We have exited the show with some very strong leads for new distribution around the region and I feel confident Nimbility’s team of experts will add incredible value to our current partners with support and activation around the region.”

In 1993, having recognised the outstanding potential of the Hawkes Bay’s Gimblett Gravels winegrowing district, Trinity Hill became one of the region’s early pioneers, planting grape vines on a barren plot which continues to produce exceptional wines today. True to their roots, they craft especially food friendly wines made from the classic varieties of Hawke’s Bay, alongside some other innovative varieties, and use traditional techniques. Chief Winemaker Warren Gibson is a well respected figure of the New Zealand wine industry and  has been rated Winemaker of the Year by numerous international wine competitions and publications.

Trinity Hill has superb vineyard sites and the winemaking skills to ensure that they can achieve their aims of crafting some of the world’s great wines. A philosophy of “Quality rather than Quantity” is important, controlled yields ensure the intensity of flavour and elegant styles for which Trinity Hill is renowned. It is said great wine is made in the vineyard and the aim at Trinity Hill is to produce distinctive wines of elegance and power that reflect the character of each vineyard site.

Hawke’s Bay has recently been crowned the 12th Great Wine Capital of the World, setting it alongside eleven other prestigious wine regions such as Bordeaux (France), Napa Valley (USA), Bilbao (Spain) and Adelaide (Australia), and solidifying it’s position as a global destination for wine enthusiasts, showcasing the region’s unique terroir, rich heritage, and commitment to producing world-class wines.

“We are really excited to be working with Trinity Hill”, says Francesca Martin, Founding Partner at Nimbility. “These wines are true benchmarks from Hawke’s Bay and represent an excellent value and quality proposition, particularly as excellent alternatives to some classic Old World regions that are now becoming prohibitively expensive or simply impossible to get hold of in APAC. The quality of the wines speak for themselves so we are really looking forward to getting these into the hands of wine lovers across the region.”
